WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Experienced leader in marine, environmental or Indigenous land/sea management
• Demonstrated experience working respectfully with Aboriginal communities
• Strong knowledge of coastal and marine conservation
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and partnership skills
• Experience managing government-funded programs and budgets
• Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience

KEY SELECTION CRITERIA

• Strategic Leadership

Experience leading a significant marine, environmental or Indigenous land/sea program.

• Working with Traditional Owners

Successfully achieving culturally appropriate environmental or land/sea outcomes with Aboriginal communities.

• People Leadership

Leading, mentoring and developing staff including performance management and capability development.

• Program & Financial Management

Managing budgets, work programs, government funding agreements and compliance.

• Marine Operations, Compliance & Partnerships

Managing marine operations, vessel compliance and building productive stakeholder relationships.
